As from 18.12.2006 onwards:

I've disabled the links on this page. Sites die frequently, so after a while a linkpage like this ends up loaded with dead links. But no despair, there're plenty of leads to other sites like the one you're reading right now listed in my blog (mostly links to other labels) and in my myspace (mostly noise-artists). If you think your link ought to be listed in one of those two locations, feel free to get in touch (and see what happens).

>> links ... we're not alone

...as disturbing as it might seem... So here's a list with links to other bands and labels that might be able to help you out of your misery. I've added "a hors category" as well for those things that are both or none of the previous.

>> bands ... noisy friends

Ashtool

Soloproject of Mirco, who also appears on several of Daniele Brusaschatto's releases as guitarplayer. Ambient, atmospheric, not noise. Runs a label called Into My Bed.
Agathocles
Well, Agathocles doesn't really fit in the list of experimental bands, but as mincecore-pioneers and friends they can't be ignored - and of course there's Jan AG - the experimental project of Jan Frederickx, their singer.
Cock ESP
Loud, harsh, destructive. Known for their short, but explosive, live sets. All the way in the red!
Costes
Controversial French artist - junk and kitchen-noise, experimental pop, pornopera, film - ever returning themes are porn, pis, shit, vomit, worms,... Great liveshows.
Crank Sturgeon
Junk-noise from the States, check out his release on the Polish XV Parowek-label! [note: that last link seems to be dead, but XV Parowek is apparantly still somehow active, even offline]
Daniele Brusaschetto
Hard to classify Daniele - his music has enough melodic elements to be acceptable for a broader audience, but contains enough sharp edges to keep it interesting for a more demanding ear. It's not retro, not industrial, not noise - it's Daniele Brusaschetto. Has his own ZZZ-label.
Evil Moisture
Simply one of the best electronic junkprojects around. That plus Andy's one of the nicest guys to meet on tour.
Fckn bstrds
Seen these guys live a few times - gabber, noise, performance, costumes, screams - it's like a circus gone mad, a merry-go-round that has gone awry. Closely linked to the Hondenkoekjesfabriek, Monobrain, Piediepie, Truck Van Rental, Fckn Odal, Stront© etcetera and tralala.
Haters, The
Home of The Haters, harsh-noise project of Jupiter X. Larsen.
Jack The Rapper
Stupidity has No Nationality. Fuck the System. Café au Chocolat and Plastic Art.
Kunt
Girrrls with dicks from Australia (though one of them is living in Berlin and the other in Japan). Sparkling harsh noise. Played in the living where I rolled down the stairs on one of the few times in my life that I was too drunk to stand up.
Magik Markers
No-wave from the States/Canada - these girls + guy go linea recta back to Lydia Lunch, before something went wrong with her and her music. Imvated released a limited CDr-edition of two of their shows on 45 copies or so, which shortly after emurged on eBay. I always dreamt of being on eBay too.
Massaccessi
Another website not suited for the colorblind. Junknoise and performance artist. Told us he also made a soundtrack for a gay porn movie, one of the few occasions he actually earned something with his music.
Milkmuts
They toured with Massaccessi. Same as see above: junknoise, performance etc. I think they weren't feeling too well when I saw them live. Or maybe it was me.
Monopolka
With love from Russia. Monopolka is both a (tape)label and a noiseproject. I've seen him live in de living: junknoise à la Crank Sturgeon. Nice website to get lost in but not suited for the colorblind among us. Check it out!
Mourmansk 150 Möse
If you like it slow and if this looks like something you've seen before, but not quite: 7))).
MSBR
From the land of the rising sun. Harsh noise, but also did some more soundscape-oriented involving 303 (released on Cling Film). His website is there since 1996. (I've recently rediscovered some prints that I made from his website in 1997 and am willing to send you a copy against harsh cash). Update august 2005: Sad to inform you Koji Tano died late july 2005. Visit his site while it is still there. Respect!
Napalmed
Band, label and distro can all be found on this "Napalweb"-site(v4). Known as a band through a vast amount of releases, ranging from harsh noise to experimental - known as a label mostly through the excellent ANOMALOUS SILENCER-compilation series... Update august 2005: site is now version 7 and band is now named NPLMD - mmmh, come to think of it: MNGNRTD sounds pretty mean too. Eat that BRTN SPRS!
Nautical Almanac
"Nautical Almanac has records on Heresee and is an integral part of much of the MidWest noise scene. Wanna understand the throb of shirtless noise boys and girls in Michigan, Kentucky, and Ohio and elsewhere? Climb onto this Crisco-coated locomotive and get the real deal of steel. Answers not included and sound not found." I didn't invent the latter, just stole it from another website, but kinda is what they do.
Permanent Death
Blè-noise from Belgium - not your cup of tea if you don't like mixed bags of grind- and shitnoise, but they wouldn't care shit. And if you do like a good portion of blè and an heavy brmmmmmmmmmm: they're on one of the 3ways on RRs.R.
Ripit
Ripping electronoise from Paris. Mixing noise and beats in cut-up-style into a mayhem of electronic distortion that never gets broing - they have a patent on this formula over there in France. Definetely worth checking out. See also Mourmansk 150.
Scorpio Scorpio
Stadium Rock from Australia - One man, and he's mean, he's angry and he wants to give it to you real hard.
Smell and Quim
Saw them for the first time live somewhere in 1998 or earlier - best act of the entire festival, which was dominated by industrial and soundscape-acts. Smell and Quim came on stage and 5 minutes later their equipment was reduced to debris - they however managed to go on with their set, while the organisers of the festival were looking for the main switch to cut down the power.
Stefan Quix
Has his extreme loud clicks'n stops-project Ping/Pong, but is also involved in a Joy Division cover project, alongside some other projects (including more repetitive drony stuff), which I haven't seen or heard yet, but definetely worth to check out. From Brussels, if that means anything...
Truck Van Rental
Junk noise from Holland - a must-see, these acts from Holland - party-noise à gallore! Just like they have an electronoise-scene in Paris, there's a gabbernoise-scene in Holland. Also see Fckn Bstrds (and Hondenkoekjesfabriek and Monobrain and Spermatak and...)
labels ... noisy friends pretending to be organised

Anti Everything

From their site: "Anti-Everything is a D.I.Y."Noise" label, mostly concerned with home-recording artists and improvised performance." They're open to all forms of "experimental", "under-ground", "difficult"(to describe) and "spontaneous" self-expressions. And of course there's the [aen]-mailinglist.

Archival Stability

ARCHIVAL STABILITY is an organization dedicated to the promotion of experimental & electroacoustic music and contemporary audio-visual art. Related bands are Acts of Worship and Die Anstalt, bout on the Difficult music for difficult people Vol II-compilation on RRs.R (more info on this release). They have some vinyl-releases planned from the Belgian contemporary sound-artist Baudouin Oosterlynck.
Deafborn Records
Looks dark, industrial and ambient. And it's German. How come most things in Germany are dark, industrial and ambient?
Darkness Productions (email: darknessproductions at web.de)
Label of Michael Krause (Germany), also involved in Yggdrasil. Has got several tape-releases out with handmade sleeves, along some vinyl-releases (both on 7" and LP). Has a distro too.
Freaks End Future
Actually a record store in Antwerp - drop off your smutty CDr and tape-releases and they put them in their store. Also a label, linked to Audiobot etc etc. Anyway: check their site. Oh, and they also organise small gigs in the store, so if you are on tour get in touch with them and maybe you can work something out.
Ghettoblaster
Label associated with Fuck the Facts, based in the US. Harsh noise and experimental, has a huge distribution list too.
Helicopter
Home and label of John Wiese, who is involved in numerous projects, including Bastard Noise.
Hospital Productions
Label and Home of Prurient. Harsh noise. Well done CD- and LP-releases.
Imvated
Wooha! Greatest small tape and CDr label in Belgium? Check it out for Pete's sake.
Incidental Recordings
This label released a death petrol no luxe bbq event (live deathkabaal) 6 CDrs box set with fieldrecordings of the fest - might not be available anymore if you read this in 2012, but there's probably something else to satisfy your thirst for ugly noise with - as a reference, the 6 CDr-box can count. Respect!
kolorform records
Home and label of Komafuzz, a drone/noise project based in Washington. I've got their very limited "Bouncing Waves of Schematics" (only 15 copies) which contains some great tracks. Check it out while you still can...
[K-raa-K]³
Belgian major in the Belgian experimental scene, has some nice stuff out, like the latest Toss-CD 'Titles of the greatness of been' (also see Veglia), all releases are pro-made and very clean - they're also doing a yearly festival, carry a distro etc.
krch.org
Home of Ralf Siemers - electroacoustic plunderdrones - who puts online copyleft music, released the now discontinued Kläng-compilation-series (see his news-section for the reason why) and has some other nice things out in the experimental/noise/drones/plunderphonics-field.
Locus of Assemblage, the
A UK-based label carrying harsh noise releases like i:Wound, The Infant Cycle, Dachise on both normal and 3"CDr-format. Has also a huge distro-list.
Novaya Zemlya Productions
Novaya Zemlya Productions is the D.I.Y. French label of Christophe Biot (see Mourmansk 150). Focuses on harsh noise & power-electronics.
Pale Mother - closed
Label based in Denmark - their releases can best be described as "noise-industrial": synth, beats and screams. Stopped their activities.
Retinascan
Label based in Germany. Clickstopbreaksglitchdance. Carry some noise releases as well which are worth checking out. Lots of releases, all on CDr. Are really into the small label DIY philosophy.
RRs.R
Do I need to introduce this one? RRs.R is a small label from Belgium, focuses on the entire spectrum of experimental music. "Releases the Difficult music for difficult people"-compilation series and is starting a brand new 3-way-series in the CDr-format.
Sounds from the Pocket
Label run by Justin Waters (Autio-ethik, no-Fi). Releases among others the not-to-be-missed Microkassettor and Found Sounds compilations, the latter filled with "found sounds", the first with material recorded on the microcassette-format.
Suggestion Records Veglia (or Vegalia)
Neat little label from Belgium with mucho sympathico releases - a Birchville Cat Motel 7", a Longing for Stork-tape, Moysk, a bunch of Toss/R.O.T-CDr's and lots of new stuff in the future. Check out his Metalux/Evil Moisture LP while he still has copies left. Lots of handmade stuff too. Laurent who runs it is also involved in the defunct Toss, R.O.T, Moysk, Berghaus and many a lot more. Mmmh. And if you send me a mail asking for a show, then I probably forward it to him, so why not send it to Laurent straight away?
Xerxes
Japan-based quality label (first doing tapes, now doing CDr's too) that's out there for a long time...
XV Parówek [note: that link seems to be dead, but I think the label is still active]
Label and band of Bartek Kalinka, based in Poland. Has some great stuff out on his label, ranging from harsh noise to cut-ups and soundscapes.
Zeromoon
Label of Jeff Surak, who's also the man behind V. and Second Violin - did some collaborations with Zan Hoffman (see Z27.net) with whom he shares his passion for atmospheric, layered soundscapes. Their live/collaboration-release on Zeromoon (V.+Zanstones - "Now!") is a must-have.
zh27 (formelerly zidsic, then zid.net, then z27, then zh27.net, now zh27.org - well, all Zan Hoffman)
Zan is a man with a 27 year mission to chart new audio realms including collaborations with fellow explorers worldwide. He already achieved some 800 collabs and releases. Not to be missed!
hors category... everything and nothing of the above

Dennis Tyfus

An ugly guy making ugly drawings. On top of that he's from Antwerp, has a radioshow on Radio Centraal, makes noise, is involved with Audiobot releasing "boekskes" with his and other peoples filthy drawings and pictures. He also drinks. He's a good Jan AG imitator though. Which is about the only talent he has.
Jelle Crama
Same as the above, but better looking (cleaner) and without the radioshow. His work is extremely colorblind-unfriendly.
JMH Berckmans
    Belgian Bukovski (Bokowski?)
kuvia piirustuskerhon näyttelystä
I don't understand this kind of art, but people that use sentences like "No kun muutama tyyppi ääntelee yhdessä niin siitä tulee yhteinen ääni, joka on niiden kaikkien ja ei kuitenkaan kenenkään." can't be wrong and are undoubtingly much smarter and openminder than me.

found stuff

Tape Findings

Here're some people that find tapes. And put them online. So don't loose your tapes. And don't loose your parents super 8-movies either cause I eat them (but first I show them).

filmrelated

Cinema Nova

Nice little cinema in Brussels of which I keep forgetting the url so I've added it to this list.
Royal Belgium Filmarchives
Reffered to as "the filmmuseum" - last film that I saw there was one on pigs being slaughtered. In b/w. Very interesting.
Official website Lasse Braun
"I believe pornography is at the center of the biggest cultural revolution of our century." Main reason why this link is here is because I once bought some reels with original super 8-movies by Lasse Braun (from the so-called loops-series). And because his name ressembles that of Lasse Marhaug.
